Introduction
Today we have the usual entertaining but not overly difficult offering from Rufus. I was able to complete the puzzle without electronic assistance - in part, due to being out of reach of my Tool Chest. However, I must confess to having missed a bit of the wordplay on 2d. As for 12d, this is the second time that I've encountered this dessert in recent puzzles. Every time I see this term, I can't help but think that it should be the name of a social disease.
