In today's puzzle by Cox and Rathvon, the setters introduce us to a number of members of the animal kingdom, each of which shows itself to have a possessive trait.
Note: the puzzle appears here just as it does in the National Post (in both the online and print editions) with the right hand edge of the grid having been trimmed off.

Hi Falcon!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid that I disagree with your interpretation of the clue in 2d. The order of the words has NOT been inverted! Ordinance is the statute (not ordnance as you have indicated) and ordnance is the word for military supplies which has been split by one.
Best regards,
MG
Hi MG,
ReplyDeleteOf course, you are absolutely right (and I have now corrected the entry in the review). How could I have made such an error? I guess in my hurry to complete the review, I started typing without engaging my brain!
