Introduction
It seems that the Christmas elves are in a mischievous mood and have been messing around with the publication schedule at the National Post. After several months of not missing a puzzle, suddenly the National Post skipped a couple on Tuesday — catching me asleep at the switch. Thus the reviews originally posted for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday were for puzzles not published on those days. I would like to thank Richard for bringing the situation to my attention (even if I was slow to notice his warning). As a result, no review has been prepared for today's puzzle.
Signing off for today — Falcon
Second time this week, you've blogged a puzzle different from the one printed in today's NP. My paper has 28533.
ReplyDeleteRichard,
DeleteUnfortunately, you are wrong. It is actually the third time this week! I have replaced the Tuesday review with a review of the puzzle actually published that day. I do not have reviews for the puzzles published on Wednesday and Thursday. For me, this was not a good week for the National Post to start monkeying around with the publication schedule as this was my week to blog the Thursday puzzle on Big Dave's Crossword Blog plus having a number of other commitments. As a result, to fit everything in I had prepared some reviews in advance -- patting myself on the back for being so well-prepared. Well, was it Robbie Burns who wrote "The best laid plans of mice and men ..."?
